Scales of Justice Tournament

Hello Folks…As we often think back and reflect about our lives, we recall those particular people who “Made a Difference” to us personally.  Whether that time was a small or great impact, the important part is that it did “Make a Difference”.

We all now have an opportunity to reach out one time to be the one to “Make a Difference” in a young person’s life by volunteering for the Scales of Justice tournament, September 17.  Boaters and volunteers are needed for the event.  You will find attached the application for completion and return to the Ada County Juvenile Court.  This event is fast approaching and your prompt reply is needed.  Please disregard the application deadline of 8-26 noted on the app…applications will continue to be considered!!

Its just one day, a few hours of your time, to join your other comrades and be there for these kids where you will “Make a Difference!”

Please share the attached application with all club members throughout this great State of Idaho!

Happy fishing!

Thank you!

Cascade Club Tournament August 27 launch change!

The IBM club tournament is scheduled on Cascade Saturday, August 27.  We will be fishing along with Idaho Bass Anglers who is the permit holder.  Originally, launch was to occur at the Cascade City Ramp.  However, due to other events occurring also on Saturday including a Golf Tournament AND a Triathalon, F&G have allowed us bass fisherman to launch from Sugarloaf since the City ramp will be heavily congested with all three events occuring simultaneously.

Boater meeting is scheduled for 5:45am. at Sugarloaf Ramp.  We should be able to launch approximately 6:45am. or safe light with weigh-in time to be announced at the meeting.  The water has dropped so there is concern about exposed sand bars and other water structure.  Due to the triathalon, there will be off limits, more so than usual.  Those off limits will be starting at the city ramp as far as the island possibly.  The triathalon will have buoys in the water marking the swimming course which should happen approximately 9am. to Noon as it is the first event of the triathalon.  Steve Spears, our tournament director, will announce at the boater meeting the actual off limits and if it will remain so just part of the day or entire tournament hours.  If you arrive late and miss the boater meeting, please be sure to contact a fellow club member to discuss all of the off limits.  We want to remain safe and co-user friendly with all other sporting enthusiasts.

The Idaho Bass Federation Youth Championship is scheduled for Sunday, August 28.  This event is facilitated by Brian Ashton, TIBF Youth Director.  There are several IBM club members volunteering their time and boats for the youth participants the next day.  Good luck to the Youth and thank you to our club members for once again stepping up to volunteer for our Youth.  May your lines be tight and weights large!  See you on the water!
